01. How do I sign up with Anytime Pet Sitters?TOP
There are multiple ways to sign up. You can call us at 918-376-6609, send an email to info@anytimepetsitters.net, or fill out the RSVP form on our Contact page to make a request. Please be sure to include: dates and times you will be departing and returning (or approximate), how many and what types of pets, what type of visit you are interested in and how many times per day, and all your contact information.
We will then set up a free Initial Consultation with you and one of our pet sitters. At this meeting, you, your pets, and your professional pet sitters will meet and get to know each other. We will then discuss your pet’s individual needs, have you show us where the pet supplies are, get veterinary and emergency contact information, fill out the necessary paperwork, answer any questions you might have, transfer keys, etc. We will also gather detailed instructions on how to care for your pets and home while you are away. After completing the Initial Consultation, the next time you need services all you have to do is give us a quick call, text or email, and we will take care of the rest!
02. Are you bonded and insured?TOP
Yes. Anytime Pet Sitters, LLC and all its members are fully bonded and insured for you and your pet’s protection. We are insured through Pet Sitters Associates, LLC with the optional extra coverage. Our insurance covers liability, bodily injury, property damage, theft and more. A valid certificate of membership can be presented upon request.
03. Are your rates per pet?TOP
No. Our rates are based on time only, not the number of pets being cared for. Prices are per visit, per day for the entire household. All tasks listed under each type of visit on our Services page are included. Please keep in mind that multiple pets may require more time to give them the best care possible. We ask that you provide us with adequate time to complete all services requested, any unexpected tasks, and of course, enough time to give your pets love and attention! With our approval, we will strive to get everything done in the time you requested. If we come to find that more time is needed, we will make every attempt to contact you for your approval to adjust it as necessary. Payment for additional time and/or services must be paid within 14 days of receipt of invoice.
04. Can I mix and match different visits?TOP
Absolutely! Our goal is to set up a customized package that best fits the needs of you and your pet. If you would like to make a special request for a service that you don’t see listed on our Services page, please don’t hesitate to ask.
05. When do I have to pay for my services?TOP
Payment from first time clients is required at the time the Service Agreement is signed, typically at the Initial Consultation. For repeat services, payment is due at the first visit, unless other arrangements have been made. Usually, we have our clients leave us payment to pick up at our first visit. Holidays are typically our busiest time. As a result, we request that all holiday reservations be secured with a deposit up-front, at the time of booking. While we strive to keep the rates on our website current, they are not guaranteed and may change at any time. Please contact Anytime Pet Sitters for current rates.
06. Do you provide overnights?TOP
Overnights are currently available to our established clients upon request and with our approval. We recommend doing more frequent and/or longer visits during the day. Most often, after a fun-filled visit with their pet sitter, they will be done playing and ready for a nap until our next visit.
07. Who are the people coming into my home?TOP
We are a family based company, that specializes in keeping your pets happy, safe and secure. We know that you will be nervous about having a stranger coming into your home for the first time. Pet sitting services will be performed by the owners of Anytime Pet Sitters and their hand chosen employees only. We have employees so that we can be a reliable company, able to provide services to you 24/7/365. You can go to the About Us page to read more about the owners and our pet sitters. Our employees are reliable, responsible people we’ve chosen that we entrust our own home and pets to, along with our business reputation. References can be provided upon request.
We go that extra mile to ensure the safety of your home and your pets while you are away. It is our job to make sure that you, your pets and your home are safe and secure at all times! Our goal is to have you become completely comfortable with us. We encourage lots of questions! We strive to build a trusting and lasting relationship with you. We are confident that after your first or second service with us, you will feel completely at ease!
We recommend that you do not allow other services or people into your homes during vacations. Pet often sneak into areas they shouldn’t when others enter the house. Also, occasionally we have come in to find doors have accidentally been left unlocked. If need be, please let us know of any expected visitors beforehand. We are very attentive to details, and it is not a good feeling to see things out of place from where we left them or a new vehicle in the driveway! All visitors should schedule visits in advance or leave a note of their visit when they arrive, and of where pets were last seen. We will call the police if we see unexpected visitors!
After signing up with us, you will receive our cell phone numbers, so that you can contact us at any time to check in on your pets. We are life-long pet owners as well and know first-hand what it is like to leave your furry loved ones behind, so we welcome you at any time to contact us directly. We also have a great feature on our website, a Daily Updates Blog, where you can go to read what your pets have been up to each day!
08. How can I prepare for my Initial Consultation?TOP
- Fill out or read over the New Client Packet prior to the consulation
- Get together information for your regular Veterinary Clinic and/or preferred Emergency Clinic
- Gather documentation regarding your pet’s vaccinations and health. Make sure your pet wears current vaccination tags on it’s collar
- You will need to show us where all pet supplies are located (i.e. food, medications, litter pans/scoop, leashes, etc.)
- For longer absences we ask that you leave contact info for utility companies in case of emergency. Locations of the breaker box, gas and water shut-off valves are also good to know
- In case of a problem or emergency, we will make every effort to contact you. In case we can’t reach you, it is good to leave one or more alternate Emergency Contacts with us (i.e. parent, child, neighbor, friend)
- Make sure you have 2 tested keys (at least one method of entry required) ready for us to pick up at the consultation. If you only have 1 key, a secondary backup method could be a hidden key, garage code, key left with a neighbor, etc. We will also need any security codes if you have an alarm.
09. What can I do to prepare for my sitter before I leave?TOP
- If your pet chews on things, you can set out “chew toys” and do what is necessary to protect your personal items from it’s teeth while you are away
- If your pet has any usual habits like destructive behavior when left alone, changes in bowel or eating habits, etc. please let your pet sitter know in advance
- Set out everything your pet needs in one visible area. This includes food, medications, treats, dishes, utensils, can opener, leashes, litter/litter pans/scoop, paper towels, cleaning supplies, garbage bags, broom/dustpan/vacuum, paw towels, housebreaking materials, watering can for plants, etc.
- Please provide extra food, litter, and supplies just in case you are home later than expected
- Close off any areas of your home that are off areas to your pets or pet sitter and let him/her know in advance. Also, before you leave, make note of any particular problems he/she should be aware of, such as leaky faucet or a dog that likes to get into the garbage
- If you are leaving anything specifically for your sitter, such as cookies, a gift or tip, please leave a note. Pet sitters will not take anything from a house unless specifically invited to.
- Notify your veterinarian (and any others who should know such as neighbors) that a pet sitter will be caring for your pets, and authorize the vet to extend medical care in your absence if it becomes necessary.
10. What will you do with my keys?TOP
We will normally pick up the keys during the initial consultation. We request you give us 2 fully tested keys or 2 methods of entry just in case (This can be a key and garage code, or a key and leave a key with a neighbor, etc.). If only one key is provided, we can make a copy for you at a minimal charge. The keys will be labeled with a code, not any of your personal information, for safety purposes. During your services one key will be with your sitter, while the second key is kept in a safe location in case a key is broken or fails to work.
After your sit, your keys will be stored in our safe until your next reservation. Key storage is free. If you would like your key returned at the end of your service, you will need to call and schedule a time to do this transfer. This may be subject to a key pickup/drop-off fee.
