Pet Sitter

My name is Sadie Lehman. I always have, and always will be, a huge animal lover! Living out in the country, our family has always owned dogs, cats and horses. Growing up and not having many friends nearby, my pets were always my best and most loyal friends. My family owned a pet store when I was younger, and I was there all the time, helping out. Constantly surrounded by animals of all types, my bond with them grew even stronger. Everyone in my family has a unique connection with animals that helps us get through to most pets that others can’t. People are constantly telling me, “Wow! Max doesn’t usually warm up to people that fast,” or, “How did you do that? No one can ever get close enough to pet that cat!”. I love animals of all types, and I think they can sense that.

For my first job, I was hired on as summer help at a local vet clinic where my mom and sister worked as Vet Assistants. I started out as a Kennel Assistant and came to the clinic to take care of all the surgery patients and boarding pets. My responsibilities were to clean cages, feed and water pets, give medications, take them for walks, etc. I treated every single pet as I would my own, with lots of love and care.

Later on, I worked at a pet grooming and boarding business. Some of my regular daily duties included bathing, brushing, trimming nails, cleaning ears, giving medications, taking dogs for walks, etc. I am certified in Pet First Aid and CPR. I enjoy any and every type of job that involves caring for pets!
